² We are writing to you, God's own people who live in Colossae. You are like brothers and sisters to us because you continue to believe in Christ.

I pray that God, our Father, will continue to help you. I pray that he will give you peace in your minds.

³ We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you. ⁴ We thank God because people have told us good things about you. You continue to trust Christ Jesus. You also love all God's people.
